In our society, people are not taught personal performance skills. We are taught the “three Rs”: reading, writing, and arithmetic. We’re taught personal hygiene. We’re taught work skills, money-making ability. We’re taught to develop a talent — dancing, swimming, tennis, football, piano, the list goes on. We’re taught about the importance of hobbies and activities. We go boating and motorcycling. We spend thousands of dollars in these pursuits, but we’re really never taught personal performance skills. And we are rarely proactive about learning these skills. Unfortunately most of us wait until we are in pain before we take action.
Personal performance skills help you learn how to work on YOU, how to control YOUR life. We believe it’s as important to learn personal performance skills as it is to learn to read and write. That’s what The Kindred Conversation is all about.
