Simple ways to combat shorter days

For so many of us, the loss of daylight really affects our moods. This is called Seasonal Affective Disorder! (Yes, there is an actual diagnosis!)

The best way you can prepare yourself for the shorter days, is to have something to look forward to every day! This does not mean that you need to spend any money or even a lot of time. The happiest people have simple pleasures they look forward to — a good book, a favorite TV series, movies, gatherings or a hobby they really enjoy.

Another great way to survive winter is to keep physically active as well as mentally active. Spend some time outside everyday even if it is for 10 minutes. It rejuvenates you, helps you feel alive!!

Find your simple pleasure and get after it!
